Homeless man arrested in westside neighborhood when found sleeping in car

A 33-year-old homeless man was arrested early in the morning of September 10th when he was found sleeping in someone’s car on North Billups Street.
Jamir James told police that he had nodded off after having consumed fentanyl.
One of the responding officers recognized him from a previous theft case.
When searched James was found in possession of evidence that he had recently smoked fentanyl.
He was arrested on charges of entering a vehicle with intent to commit a felony, loitering/prowling, and possession of drug-related objects.
As of September 17th he continued to be jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond,
