Toddler killed, adult and another child injured in Athens trailer park shooting

A 3-year-old boy was killed Friday in a shooting at an Athens trailer park that also injured his 9-year-old brother and an adult male,

The boys reportedly had been sitting on a couch at around 5:30 p.m. when someone shot into their home at Hallmark Estates off of Spring Valley Road.

"My son is crying real bad about his friend. His friend's little 3-year-old brother didn’t make it. I’m trying to comfort him and it’s so hard,"a friend of the family said. "All I can do right now is cry with my child. He is so hurt, keeps asking me to take him to the hospital to see his friend.l, but I don't know if I should or not."

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department did not say if a motive for the shooting had developed,
