Evil cop gets fired after going insane on an innocent woman

Updated: Aug 10

That’s the attention-grabbing headline for a viral YouTube video showing the behavior of a police officer when trying to handle a domestic disturbance in Athens three years ago.

On Oct. 17, 2021 Roger Williams responded to a dispute between a man and woman on Willow Run. While other officers went into the home to speak with the man, Williams remained outside and placed the woman in custody.

The woman was agitated because she couldn’t understand why the officer was arresting her, and at one point Williams apparently tripped her and pcaused the woman to fall and hit her head.

EMS transported the woman to the hospital for examination prior to her being booked into jail on an obstruction charge.

An internal investigation by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department concluded that Williams

had used unnecessary and excessive force on the woman, and in May 2022 he was fired.

Then this week Classic City News noticed something strange happening, with an astonishing global interest in a story concerning Roger Williams it published in January 2021 with the headline “$250k settlement in ACCPD shooting case.”

That story concerned an excessive force lawsuit filed by a man who was rendered paralyzed by bullets fired into him by Williams, and it was being read simultaneously by users in multiple U.S. cities from Irvine, TX, to Waterloo, NY as well as internationally from Mexico City to Kuala Lumpur.

Within hours of the video dropping, it had been viewed nearly a half-million times.

Because the shooting incident was mentioned in the domestic disturbance video, viewers from all over apparently began doing their own research that led them to the CCN website and the big cash payout story. 🤷‍♀️

Here is the “Evil Cop” video:

Viewers should watch the entire video available online which includes several officer's body cam. No matter how drunk or uncooperative the young woman was, she still had rights, and did not deserve to be tripped/thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious by a law enforcement officer, who was supposed to be there to help a potential domestic violence dispute, but instead harmed her more than she was in the initial dispute. They (the couple) are responsible for what happened in their home, but the former officer who used excessive force with complete disregard for her wellbeing is solely to blame for his own termination. To call him evil would be a kindness, in my opinion. As someone who grew up…

Viewers should watch the entire video available online which includes several officer's body cam. This individual was drunk and uncooperative. This drunk couple called the police. They both are responsible for this. Maybe the officer could have handled it differently, but to call him Evil, I think not. Don't get drunk and then call the police.
