Winder teen charged with murder

The Gwinnett County Police Department has released the following:
Lawrenceville, Ga. Mar 24, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police Homicide Detectives have charged Glenn Fitzpatrick (18, Winder) and Michael Coker (18, Loganville) each with Felony Murder, Malice Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Fitzpatrick and Coker have been arrested and are in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond. Detectives are still investigating the motive that led to the shooting.

(Lawrenceville, Ga. Mar 16, 2026) – The victim has been identified as Taveus Threatt Jr. (19, Loganville).

(Snellville, Ga., Mar. 13, 2026) – At approximately 10:05 p.m., officers from the South Precinct responded to a person shot call on the 2900 block of Spruce Circle in unincorporated Snellville. The caller told the 911 call taker that a person had crashed into his car and the driver was unconscious.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Homicide detectives have responded to the scene and are currently questioning witnesses. The Crime Scene Unit is processing the scene and gathering evidence.
This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no immediate danger to the public. The victim’s name will be released following the notification of next-of-kin.
