Woman intentionally runs over assault victim with car

Breiane Turner, 23, of West Broad Street was arrested last week for intentionally running over another woman during a fight.
The incident occurred early the morning of May 17th at the Clarke Gardens complex off Barnett Shoals Road.
At the time,, Turner already had charges pending from an arrest in April 2024 for an unrelated fiight at Rolling Ridge Apartments in which she allegedly fired a gun at the victim.
Police reports and court records indicate that after engaging Saquia Davenport in a fistfight, Turner got into her car and drove straight at the other woman, knocking her down and dragging her across a parking lot.
The 39-year-old victim is a Clarke Gardens resident who was treated at the hospital for injuries that included a broken arm.
Turner fled the apartment complex with three children in the car and she was arrested during a traffic stop.
She was charged with aggravated assault, hit and run from a collision with injuries, DUI, three counts of endangering a child by driving while under the influence, reckless driving, driving without a valid license, and three counts of failure to safely secure a child passenger.
The charges were based on statements from the victim, which were corroborated by witnesses and video footage.
Turner is being detained at the county jail pending a bail hearing that’s scheduled for June 6th.
