Voters in Athens-Clarke and Oconee counties selected former assistant district attorney Kalki Yalamanchili to be the Western Judicial Circuit’s next District Attorney.
He easily defeated the highly controversial one-term incumbent Deborah Gonzalez by a 20 percent margin capturing 60 percent of the vote to Gonzalez’s 40 percent.
THank goodnes for change. But 48.1 % mostly Clarke County still voted for her...stupid ! Or they voted for someone who wouldn't put them in jail !!!
