$10k cash reward offered for Athens arson fire information

The following was posted today on the Facebook page of the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department:

The Athens-Clarke County Fire Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals connected to a residential fire under investigation that occurred in the early hours of Monday, 3/9/2026 on Deer Creek Drive in Athens, GA.
Ring camera footage shows two individuals approaching the residence shortly before flames were seen spreading across the front of the home.
The ACCFD Fire Marshal’s Office is actively working with Detectives from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department to identify the individuals shown in the video and determine their involvement in this incident.
Setting a fire at someone’s home puts lives at risk. Investigators are asking anyone who may recognize these individuals or who has information about this incident to come forward.
