The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday arrested Darren Jacob Wright, 32, and Katelyn Deanna Wright, 22, both of Athens following an investigation of a report of a theft of over $20,000 from an elderly man, according to the sheriff’s office.
The investigation led to the recovery of a majority of the stolen cash and two vehicles that had been purchased with stolen funds, the sheriff’s office said.
The suspects were each charged with felony theft by taking and were currently in the Jackson County Jail.
