The following was released today by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office An officer-involved shooting occurred this morning while Barrow County Sheriff’s Office deputies were serving a warrant in the area of 546 Mt. Moriah Road in Auburn. At approximately 10:00 a.m., deputies were on scene to serve a warrant when an officer-involved shooting took place. During the incident, one suspect was injured and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No deputies were injured.

The incident happened in the evening of December 12th at Wire Park in Watkinsville, where adults reportedly involved themselves in what had been children picking on a mentally disabled boy. Banks County Fire and Emergency Services has reported a crash of an all-tettain vehicle in which two people were critically injured. The incident happened late Saturday night on Gowder Road just north of Maysville. A report from the Georgia State Patrol said the crash happened when the vehicle, driven by Clayton Richardson, age 31 of Maysville, started rotating while going through a curve.
