Ytrevious Jaquan Roberson

By Joe Johnson

A Clarke County grand jury recently indicted an Athens street gang member for two shootings that occurred nearly a year apart from each other, one involving a victim who was wounded.

At the time of both shootings, 21- year-old Tyrevious Jaquan Roberson was on probation for previous gang-related felony convictions.

The first incident for which he was indicted occurred on Jan. 13, 2022 when Roberson fired a gun multiple times at a victim

on Chatham Drive, wounding the victim with his left foot.

The second incident happened 11 months later, on Dec. 29, 2022, when Roberson, shot a gun at three victims, according to the indictment filed last month in Superior Court.

He allegedly acted as a member of the Every Body Eats street gang during both shootings.

For both incidents, the grand jury indicted Roberson on four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and three violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act.

The incident for which Roberson was previously convicted occurred in 2018 at Oak Hill Apartments, where he and fellow gang member pistol-whipped a victim during an armed robbery.

In accordance with a plea bargain, a judge sentenced him to three years in confinement and 12 years on probation.

Roberson is scheduled to be arraigned on new charges on Oct. 9.

If only he had lived with Deborah Gonzalez growing up so that he felt loved, cared for, validated, included and fed, he wouldn’t be in this “loving” Every Body Eats Gang. 🤷🏻‍♀️
