Athens man charged with sodomizing child

An Athens-Clarke County grand jury has indicted a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile relative.

Fredrick Lee Malcom Jr., 29, of Nicole Circle was charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy with force, and incest, according to the indictment filed Oct. 18 in Superior Court.

The indictment indicates the alleged crimes occurred on Aug. 20, and the victim was a female relative of Malcom's who was under 16 years old.

Classic City News is not publishing how Malcom and the victim are related.

Malcom was arrested eight days after the alleged assault, according to the ACC Jail's website, which indicates he remained held without bond as of Tuesday.
