An Athens man recently received a lifetime sentence upon being convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.

Marlos Delvecchio Brown, 47, stood trial in Clarke County Superior Court during the first week of June, and the proceedings ended with the jury finding him guilty of child molestation, aggravated child molestation, and aggravated sodomy.

Judge Lisa Lott sentenced Brown to 25 years in prison to be followed by a lifetime on probation.

This story is not about Gonzales. Her ability to prosecute is no longer in question. This is a story about crime. A young girl's life is likely ruined thanks to the perversions of an older man. I pray for her. I hate him.

A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. This verdict does not mean she’s competent. Based on her overall results the last 3 1/2 years she’s proven the is incompetent.
