Athens man killed by truck on Old Hull Road

On September 21, 2026, at approximately 5:55 AM, the Athens-Clarke County Police

Department responded to a crash in the area of 600 Old Hull Road. The initial investigation

determined that a black Nissan Frontier was driving east on Old Hull Road when it crossed over

the center line, left the roadway, and struck a ditch. The driver of the Frontier, Brayan Castro-

Delgado, a 30-year-old male of Athens, GA, exited the vehicle and entered the roadway.

A white GMC Sierra, driving west on Old Hull Road, struck Castro-Delgado. Castro-Delgado

succumbed to his injuries on scene.
