Jerry Lee Ray, 59, formerly of Jennings Mill Parkway, has received a 15-year sentence after pleading guilty to molesting a young girl in 2024.

Court records indicate the victim was under 16 years old and that Ray touched her in a sexual manner on multiple occasions at Rocksprings Homes apartments.

A grand jury in January indicted him on three counts of child molestation.

Ray subsequently made plea bargain with the district attorney’s office in which he pleaded guilty to a single count of molestation and one count of the lesser charge of sexual battery.

Superior Court Judge H. Patrick Haggard approved the agreed upon sentence of three years in prison and 12 on probation.

He also barred Ray from the state of Georgia upon his release from prison.

Love is love. Do not judge a man based on who he is sexually attracted to
