An Athens man reportedly was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly “mooned” diners at a westside eatery.

According to an Athens-Clarke County police report, officers responded shortly before 6 p.m. to Sr. Sol Mexican Restaurant on Tallassee Road to investigate a complaint by the owner that an individual wearing a black shirt and khaki pants had exposed himself to diners and people at the pumps of an adjacent gas station.

When officers located and questioned the suspect, identified by police as 42-year-old James Michael Brock of West Broad Street, the man denied he had exposed himself, according to the report.

However, when an officer reviewed surveillance camera video rom the gas station, he observed Brock “drop his pants and show his naked behind to everyone in the restaurant multiple times,” according to the report.

Brock was then arrested for public indecency.
