A pair of Athens street gang members have been indicted for an armed robbery at the University Oaks apartment complex last summer.
Kasten Jammal Thomas, 24, and Jordan Xavier Gresham, 22, were each charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the indictment filed Tuesday in Superior Court.
Gresham was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Although the August armed robbery was not charged as a gang-related crime, both defendants are known Athens gangsters.
According to court records, Gresham is currently on probation for his conviction in June on charges he shot at an unmarked police car occupied by a gang unit supervisor.
He had been arrested and indicted as a member of the EBK (Everybody Killa) street gang, a local subset of the United Bloods Nation.
Thomas is facing gang-related charges from his indictment in March with other members of the 1831 Piru Bloods in a drugs and firearms case.
They are both being held without bail at the county jail and are to be arraigned in February.
