Athens woman accuses roommate of killing her kitten

A woman has accused her roommate of killing her kitten, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

She told police that the 69-year-old man broke Blessing’s neck and it had something to do with her finding his cocaine in the bathroom of their Danielsville Road home.

She found Blessing dead upon waking up to the sight of the kitten’s collar on the pillow next to her head.

When she confronted the roommate he neither denied nor admitted to killing Blessing.

She said that he drinks and drugs a lot, which causes him to behave erratically.

Police contacted Animal Services to arrange for a necropsy of the pet’s carcass.
