The Georgia Investigation said they were requested on Monday to assist the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a the death of a man at a Covington residence.
Deputies responded that day to a report of a deceased man located inside a residence on Jersey Social Circle Road, according to the GBI. The deceased man's body had been discovered by the property’s landlord.
It is not known how long the man had been deceased, and his body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy. Positive identification and notification of next-of-kin is pending.
This investigation is ongoing.
