Carlton woman killed husband after he shot her dog

A 70-year-old woman has been charged with her husband’s murder in Madison County after she shot him during an argument about a dog.

Marion Compton reportedly called 911 Wednesday night to report that she had shot her husband and when deputies arrived at the couple’s home on state Highway 72 In Carlton they found 77-year-old Gregory Waco Compton sitting on a couch, dead from a gunshot wound to his head.

Marion Compton admitted that killed her husband and she told the deputies why.

“The argument between them was over Gregory shooting her dog the day before and she was tired of his narcissist shit,” a deputy said in a report.
