A massive congratulations to Anthony "AJ" Lonon Jr., Clarke Central High School 4-star football player and thriving student-athlete for committing to Georgia Football today!
A star on the field and in the classroom, AJ currently is rated as a 4-star recruit, while maintaining a 4.2 GPA and being class Vice President at CCHS, all while being on track to graduate in December with honors!
After making his decision, AJ celebrated with family, friends, and former teachers, principals, and coaches to commemorate the village that helped raise this excellent star student-athlete who continues to Raise the Bar on the field and in the classroom. Congrats to AJ, the Lonon Family, and the several coaches, teammates, teachers, and mentors that joined in the celebrations!

The student magazine has this to say on the Facebook page of the Odyssey Media Group:
Clarke Central High School varsity football defensive tackle Anthony “AJ” Lonon Jr., a rising senior, committed to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia on Aug. 2 in the CCHS Weight Room. Lonon Jr. received 28 offers from post-secondary institutions nationwide but ultimately landed on UGA. “I’m definitely excited to be on campus as a student (and) seeing how that is different from just living in Athens. And then, of course, with the program, I’m trying to get a ring, I’m trying to get multiple rings, so I’m ready to really be in that winner environment,” Lonon Jr.
