Clarke Co. sheriff candidate Hare weighs in on George Floyd, protests, racism and deputy training

Sgt. Robert Hare, a 9-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, is a Republican who in Novemberr will be challenging the winner of the winner of the May 19 Democratic primary contest between five-term sheriff Edwards and Athens-Clarke County police Sgt. John Q. Williams.

Due to medical issues, Hare said he has not been as active on the campaign trail as he would like, so he released the following video to bring voters up to date on where he stands on campaign issues as well as the fallout from the May 25 killing police killing in Minneapolis of George Floyd, an unarmed black man.
