Woman spit on cops during family violence arrest

Shaitiria Quinya Sherod, 22, of Hull Road, was arrested the night of February 16th for simple battery on her sister during a domestic dispute.

She compounded her legal problems by obstructing officers, resisting arrest, and spitting on and kicking them.

When police arrived at her residence, Sherod reportedly tried to evade arrest by climbing out of a window, When an officer stopped her escape by grabbing her, Sherod kicked and spit at him.

After being taken into custody the woman continued to resist and she acted out inside of a police car by kicking a window.

She spit in the face of an officer who placed her in leg restraints.

Upon arriving at the county jail, officers put a spit helmet on Sherod before taking her inside to be booked on charges of family violence battery, simple battery on a police officer, and felony obstruction of law enforcement.
