County workers teamwork saves puppy in distress

On April 18th, shortly after 4:00 am, Engine 27 and Hazmat 1 sprang into action in response to a distress call at Scandia Circle. A tiny Yorkie puppy had fallen into a sewer cleanout, sending everyone into high gear.

It was a collaborative effort between the Athens-Clarke County Fire and Emergency Services, ACC Animal Control, ACC Facilities, and ACC Central Communications that made this rescue possible. Working together seamlessly, we successfully extricated the adorable little pup.

Kudos to everyone involved!

There are no Federal grants. Why do jerks have to post crap like this to raise people's hopes?
