Motorist arrested after overdosing on Atlanta Highway

Jonathan Mandell Mapp, 40, of Jennings Mill Parkway, was arrested after he overdosed on fentanyl while driving.
He was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car at the intersection of Atlanta and Monroe highways, with fentanyl on the passenger seat and a can of beer in the cup holder.
After being revived by emergency responders, Mapp was transported to the hospital.
A search of the car turned up more beer and an empty bottle of whiskey.
After being cleared by medical staff, Mapp was taken to the county jail where he was booked in on charges of driving under the influence of multiple substances driving on a suspended license,
He was denied bail because he had violated probation.
