An Elbert County woman was fatally stabbed over the New Year’s weekend in what authorities are calling a case of domestic violence.

Destiny Autumn Huff, 21, was found deceased in her home on Bowman Highway in the city of Bowman on the morning of Dec. 31, according to Elbert County Coroner Chuck Almond.

The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office reported that Huff’s boyfriend Andrew Berry, 34, also of Bowman, was subsequently arrested in Hart County and charged with Huff’s murder.

A Gofundme account established to assist the victim's children noted that Berry was their father and he killed Huff in front of them.
