Elderly man assaulted wife and employees at Bulldog Inn

A 75-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning at the Bulldog Inn on Commerce Road where police say he assaulted his 56-year old-,old wife and two motel employees,
The incident was reported at 3;34 a.m. by one of the employees who called 911 to report having been stabbed.
He and another employee had gone to the room occupied by Lester Bernard Ramey to tell hm that his wife wanted him gone. He also wanted Ramey to leave because he had busted a window in his room.
When the employees approached Ramey he charged athem with a knife and stabbed one of them in his shoulder.
When police responded to the motel they saw that the lip of Ramey’s wife was “busted up and bloodied.”
She initially tried explaining that she had fallen in the bathroom but then admitted that she’d been punched by her husband.
Ramey was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault, family violence battery, and criminal damage to property.
He remains in jail awaiting a bail hearing.
