Sexual pervert reported on Firefly Trail

Athens police on Sunday received a report from someone who saw a man bicycling on the Firefly Trail who kept stopping to masturbate.

The incident occurred behind the Oconee Street RaceTrac as the suspect was headed towards downtown.

Police said the suspect had also been seen that day in the area of Winterville and Spring Valley roads where he reportedly masturbated while holding a phone,

Police said they unsuccessfully searched for the man.
