A masked gunman got away with an undetermined amount of cash in a weekend armed robbery of the CVS store on Oglethorpe Avenue.
The incident occurred at about 11:12 a.m. Sunday when the suspect entered the store and at gunpoint grabbed an unknown amount of cash from the register and fled, running toward Brooklyn Road.

The suspect was described as a black male who stood about 5-foot-5 and had a medium build.
He wore a black face mask, plaid jacket with attached gray or white hood, black T-shirt, acid-washed jeans with holes or rips, white socks and black slides.
A witness in the parking lot told police that the robber “was sagging and had an odd run.”
The clerk was a 23-year-old woman from northern Athens-Clarke County who was badly shaken by the experience.
Got some well-needed cash before the liquor stores opened Sunday.
“Sagging with an odd run”, “White socks and slides”. 🤣 Definitely not a professional thief.
