Hazardous road conditions throughout Athens-Clarke County

The police department this morning is warning that hazardous road conditions exist throughout Athens-Clarke County due to frozen precipitation and is urging residents to avoid driving if possible, and to drive with caution when traveling on the roads is absolutely necessary.

Cited as areas that have been particularly impacted by the weather include Atlanta Highway between Mitchell Bridge Road and the Athens Perimeter, and the Inner 10 Loop bridge between the exits at Atlanta Highway and Oglethorpe Avenue.
