Historic courthouse clock repaired after freak accident with bird

We’re excited to share that the historic clock in the Downtown Courthouse clocktower is back in working order!

Recently, the clock stopped after a bird struck one of the hands mid-flight, bending it just enough to cause it to jam and strip the internal gears. Our team worked with specialists to carefully repair the damage and preserve the antique mechanics of this iconic timepiece.

The courthouse clock has stood as a symbol of our county for generations, and we’re proud to see it ticking once again!
