Woman arrested after terrifying hospital staff

Kimberly Michelle Jarrell, 36, of Gaines School Road, was arrested at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center on the evening of August 11th after she assaulted a security guard.

The arrest followed previous incidents that day in which she behaved aggressively towards employees.

“Hospital staff was described as terrified of Jarrell due to her having been beating on their staff all day,” the arresting police officer wrote in her report.

The incident for which the police were finally called was when Jarrell charged at a 23-year-old security guard and continually punched him until he tackled her to the ground.

The police officer viewed footage of the attack and arrested Jarrell for simple battery.

Jarrell is being held without bail because of a pair of felony probation violations, and she is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14th.
