Athens-Clarke ounty police have released surveillance camera footage of a felony theft suspect with the hope someone in the community will recognize him.
The pictured male was involved in a felony shoplifting at Office Depot on May 5, by stealing a laptop from the store on Atlanta Highway.
"He went into the store and took a laptop and hid it in the back of the store," Athens-Clarke County police Det Nathaniel Franco said. "He then went out, got his backpack, and came back for the laptop and put it in his backpack and left with it without paying for it."
The detective said the laptop was valued at more than $500, making the offense felony theft by shoplifting.
