Juvenile arrested for making online threats

The following was released today by the Gwinnett County Police Department
Lawrenceville, Ga., Feb. 20, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police arrested a juvenile following an investigation into threats made against a victim through online platforms.
On January 16, 2025, Gwinnett County Police received information regarding a victim who reported receiving threatening and harassing messages from a person she met through Roblox. After the victim ended communication, the juvenile posted the victim’s address online and began sending threatening messages to her through multiple different online platforms. Detectives also located additional messages where the juvenile discussed killing other women and had a kill list.
With assistance from the Gwinnett County Behavioral Health Unit, detectives made contact with the juvenile, who admitted to sending the messages and was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
On January 27, 2026, the juvenile was charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts and transported to RYDC.
Gwinnett County Police remind the public to use caution when interacting with others through online gaming and social media platforms. Users are encouraged to protect their personal information, avoid sharing addresses or identifying details, and immediately report threatening or concerning behavior to law enforcement. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to monitor online activity and have open conversations with children about online safety.
