Man charged with sexually assaulting employee in downtown Athens vape shop

Kyle Joseph Anderson, 34, of White Plains, PA, was arrested Sunday afternoon after he sexually assaulted an employee in the Cloud 9 Smoke & Vape Shop on East Broad Street.
The incident happened at around 11 a.m. when Anderson exposed himself and groped the 25-year-old woman.
His behavior as described by the victim was confirmed by police officers who viewed surveillance footage of the incident.
Police said that the victim is seen backing away from Anderson as he advanced on her while they were alone in the store. He reportedly kept asking the victim to have sex with him.
Police distributed a photo of Anderson to patrol officers who found him at the bus terminal on Hickory Street.
Police said they believe that he was planning on taking a bus rout of town.
He was arrested on charges of sexual battery and public indecency,
Anderson remains at the county jail, where holds on his release have been lodged by two law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania.
