Stolen truck crashes into home in Athens trailer park

Eddie Dewaine Curry Jr,, 37, of West Broad Street, was arrested on December 22nd after he crashed a stolen pickup truck into a trailer at Hallmark Estates Mobile Home Park.
According to reports, police went to Hallmark when a license plate reading camera located the truck there,
and when Curry tried to flee from an attempted traffic stop he bailed from the still-moving vehicle and it crashed into the trailer, damaging its front porch.
Officers arrested Curry after a foot chase and he was found in possession of items for smoking drugs.
The 2003 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving had been reported stolen by 78-year-old Westview Drive man and it was equipped with a tool box and tow hitch.
Curry was charged with motor vehicle theft, theft by receiving stolen property, felony fleeing/eluding law enforcement, obstruction, reckless driving, criminal damage to property, and possession of drug objects,
