Man’s body found in east Athens cemetery

The body of a 58-year-old man was found Thursday morning in a cemetery in eastside Athens.

The man was identified through documents he had in his clothing as Brian Williams, a resident of Hallmark Estates off Spring Valley Road, according to police.

He was found by a woman who went to the Fairview Street police substation and told an officer that she saw the body in the cemetery near the corner of Arch Street and Old Winterville Road.
