One dead, two critically injured in downtown Athens shooting

A shooting in a downtown Athens early Saturday morning left one person dead and two others hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened in a parking lot in the 400 block of North Jackson Street, according to Athens-Clarke County Police spokesperson Lt. Katie Jenkins.
