Two cars landed perilously close to an Athens fast-food restaurant Monday morning after they collided in the road out front.
The crash happened at about 8:15 a.m. outside of McDonald's on Prince Avenue near Nacoochee Avenue, according to Lt. Shaun Barnett, public information officer for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
One person was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash, he said.
Barnett said that a report of the accident had yet to be completed, so he was unable to provide additional details, such as whether the vehicles actually struck the restaurant, if anyone had been charged, or the severity of the person’s injuries.
