Two men have been indicted in connection with an armed robbery last fall in an apartment shared by University of Georgia students on East Clayton Street
Lamar Rolle Jr., 28, and Marquavious Robinson, 23, were each charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault according to the indictment filed Tuesday in Superior Court.
The incident occurred early the morning of October 26 when the students reported that several males had entered their apartment and at gunpoint stole an Xbox console.
From witness statements and video surveillance footage, police learned that Robinson and Rolle had been among a group of people who were on the sidewalk outside of the students’ apartment when they were showered upon with water from an apartment window.
The robbery occurred when the group confronted the students about the water incident,
Police identified and arrested three other suspects, who were charged in the indictment with criminal trespass,
Robinson and Rolle are being held without bail in pretrial detention at the county jail.
They are scheduled to be arraigned on July 7th.
