Pair with pot, guns and ecstasy arrested in downtown Athens

Two men were arrested in downtown Athens on the night of August 26th when found in possession of firearms and drugs.
Police conducted a traffic stop on their car for having suspended registration and searched the vehicle because officers smelled marijuana.
They reportedly found a bag of ecstasy pills, a couple ounces of marijuana, and two loaded mini Draco semiautomatic pistols.
The driver and his passenger were subsequently arrested.
Deontai Terrell Rouse, 23, of McIntyre, was charged with driving with suspended registration, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.
He was released two days later upon posting bonds totaling $3,500.
Malik Kejuan Tucker, 23, of Gordon, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.
He remains incarcerated without bail due to a previously pending criminal case in Athens-Clarke County Superior Court.
