Science fact of the day: Jellyfish are made of three layers

Jellyfish are very simple creatures that are composed of 3 layers: the epidermis, or outer layer; a middle layer made of a thick, jelly-like substance called mesoglea; and the gastrodermis, or inner layer.

Jellyfish possess a rudimentary nervous system and digestive cavity.
