Police and fire personnel tonight are searching for 90-year-old Walter Cook in the area of Three Oaks Drive and Tallassee Road.
Cook is 6-feet tall, 170 pounds, has thinning gray hair and blue eyes, and may be wearing tan pants.
He also has a Chihuahua with him.
If you have seen Cook or know his location, notify the Athens-Clarke County Police Department by dialing 911.
I drove around the area last night when I saw this notice. I could see they had a spotlight in the woods. I went to bed thinking he must be so cold. Very happy to see he has been found and is being treated. I looked into Mr. Cook and discovered he has been an avid trail walker for years. He has his very own trail named after him at the Botanical Gardens. Again, very happy to hear he was located. ♥️
