Squatters with child arrested at vacant eastside Athens apartment

Three squatters were arrested last week when they were found in a vacant eastside apartment with a juvenile.
Police officers responded the morning of January 12th to investigate a complaint that people were illegally living in an apartment on Gaines School Road.
The officers found and arrested three adults, identified as Jasmine Tykeya Davenport, 33, Gerald Anthony Thomas Jr., 30, and Jasmine Chantell Lumpkin, 34, all of whom were charged with unlawful squatting.
Davenport had her teenage son with her and was in possession of fentanyl, according to police. She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, and a report was to be filed with the state Division of Family and Child Services.
