New ladder truck entering service for downtown fire protection

Downtown Athens, GA includes a mix of historic commercial buildings, mid-rise structures, narrow corridors, and dense pedestrian areas. This newest addition to ACCFD’s fleet, “Ladder 1”, will serve downtown Athens more effectively. Ladder 1 is a state-of-the-art Ladder truck built by Rosenbauer, on the T-Rex platform and has a perfect combination of quick setup, flexible aerial positioning, a unique articulating ladder, strong pump capacity, and a multi-functional ladder tip which will enhance operational effectiveness—especially for structure fires, rescues, and complex incident responses where space is limited and rapid action is essential.
