University of Georgia football player arrested for driving over 100 mph

Another Georgia football player was arrested for speeding and reckless driving on Thursday night.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department said 19-year-old Daniel Jeremy Harris was driving on the Athens Perimeter when he was pulled over near College Station Road at about 8 p.m.

His 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was clocked traveling 106 miles per hour while passing other vehicles, according to a police report, which noted wet road conditions due to rain.

Harris was driving with an expired tag and was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.

He was charged with reckless driving, not wearing a seatbelt, driving an unregistered vehicle, no proof of insurance, and a window tint violation .

He was released from custody upon posting a $50 cash bond.

He’s a true Georgia Bulldog. The coach should throw him off the team immediately. He’s really the only one in town that can issue swift punishment. 🤷🏻‍♀️
