Victim fell to his death escaping from Athens street gang armed robbery

The victim of an alleged murder last year at an Athens apartment complex fell to his death while escaping from gang members who were trying to rob him, according a recent court filing,

On the night of November 6th, members of the Sex Money Murder street gang were attempting to steal cash at gunpoint from Antonio Jewell at The View at NoDa apartment complex, according to an indictment filed last Tuesday in Athens-Clarke County Superior Court.

The 22-year-old victim was pistol-whipped during the incident and when he tried to escape he fell from a balcony and was fatally injured.

There was a second victim that night, identified in a indictment as Demetrius Sanders, from whom the gang members stole a rifle.

The gangsters are identified as Samtavious Keyshun Clark, Jeremiah Wendell Gresham,Dion Deomorion Nesbit, Dermetris Allen, Christian Hull, and Chedric Stroud,

They each charged in the -9-count indictment with multi counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and criminal street gang activity,

The defendants are being held without bail pending their arraignments which are scheduled for April 6th.
