Winder claims title for best tasting tap water in Georgia, sets sights on national glory in Denver

The City of Winder has clinched the title for the best-tasting tap water in Georgia, with its sample from the Highway 53 Water Treatment Plant outshining all others at the state-level competition.

After triumphing at the district level, Winder's water went toe-to-toe with 16 other utilities and emerged victorious, illustrating the city's commitment to quality and taste; an accomplishment Mayor Jimmy Terrell views as a collective point of pride, he said, "Being named the best-tasting water in Georgia is something every resident of Winder can be proud of," the mayor said. "Our water doesn’t just meet the highest standards—it stands out across the entire state."

Further acclaim comes from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, which awarded Winder and ESG Operations the Platinum Award recognizing no permit violations in regards to maximum containment levels or permit violations over the last year, an impressive seventh consecutive win.
