A Winder man died April 6 after falling while working on the construction site of a new Hall County Elementary School on Ramsey Road in Gainesville.
Access WDUN in Gainesville reported that Hall County Deputy Coroner Kevin Wetzel identified the victim as Javier Sanchez, 57, a masonry subcontractor.
Angie Kennedy, marketing director for Carroll Daniel Construction, said Sanchez was working on the first floor of the school's construction site when he fell from scaffolding, according to the radio station.
Sanchez was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville where he was pronounced dead. Officials said they did not believe unsafe practices or foul play were the cause of the accident, Access WDUN reported.
