Woman files imprisonment complaint against Athens nail salon

A 44-year-old Athens woman recently accused employees of a local nail salon of false imprisonment.

On September 3rd she called police to report that staff at the Atlanta Highway business had locked the door and would not allow her to leave because of a dispute over her inability to pay the full amount of her bill.

She told police that after about half an hour another customer paid the difference for her and the door was unlocked.

Police were unable to immediately get the other side of the story because the salon had closed by the time the woman filed her complaint.
