A resident of the Rocksprings Homes housing complex was shot Monday afternoon while she was in her home off the 100 block of Rocksprings Court, Athens-Clarke County police said.
Police said they responded to the complex shortly after 2 p.m. on a report of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they found the 38-year-old victim in her home suffering from a single gunshot wound, police said.
“Witnesses indicated that gunfire came through a window in the residence.” According to police.
The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about the shooting.
